CIVIL & TECHNICAL UNIT
OVERVIEW
The Civil and Technical Unit is tasked to look after civil engineering work and provide services on designing and costings. These as follows:
Civil Engineering work - main roadmaintance, seawall and Culvert maintenance, bridge, Causeway and wharf maintenance, Airfield maintenance.
Technical work - project implemenation, site plan, house plan, detail and costing/planning and infrastructure inspection.
Vision
Civil and Technical works in all aspects of planning, designing, implementing and constructing or repairing building/infrastructure project to ensure that structure and system are assembled correctly.
Mission
To implement civil and technical activities in a good quality and quantitative to meet with international standards.
KEY ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate of the Civil activities and project in the Line and Phoenix Island Group
- Provide technical and engineering support on designing infrastructure projects as required by the Government of Kiribati (GoK)
- Organize, manage and supervise the construction or implemetation of civil projects such as road, seawall, bridge, causeway, culvert and airfield.
