VIP Lounge Upgrades – Phase 1 Progress

The MLPID is pleased to announce the commencement of the Airport VIP Lounge Upgrade Project, a strategic infrastructure initiative designed to enhance visitor experience and promote climate-conscious development.

The project comprises three integrated components:

• Construction of a new car park

• Extension of the existing VIP lounge

• Development of a connecting corridor

Currently in Phase 1, the project is focused on the construction of the new car park facility. In alignment with the Ministry’s commitment to environmental sustainability, this phase features an innovative green roof concept, whereby crops will be cultivated atop the car park structure. This approach not only elevates the aesthetic appeal of the site but also reinforces the Government’s dedication to resilient, climate-adaptive infrastructure.

Phases 2 and 3—covering the lounge extension and corridor development—are scheduled to commence in September, contingent upon the completion of key preparatory milestones.
