🚜 Overview
The Heavy Machinery & Mechanical Division is responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, and repair of the Ministry's fleet of heavy machinery, vehicles, and mechanical equipment. The Division plays a vital role in supporting infrastructure development, public works, emergency response, and community services throughout the Line and Phoenix Islands.
Through preventative maintenance, skilled mechanical services, and efficient equipment management, the Division ensures that all machinery remains safe, reliable, and ready to support the Ministry's development priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery for ministry projects.
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment and government vehicles.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Manage the Ministry's machinery fleet and equipment records.
- Provide mechanical and technical support to ministry divisions.
- Inspect machinery to ensure operational safety and reliability.
- Coordinate spare parts procurement and inventory management.
- Support emergency response and disaster recovery operations.
