🏗️ Overview
The Civil & Technical Unit is responsible for providing engineering, technical, and maintenance support for infrastructure under the Ministry of Line and Phoenix Islands Development. The Unit plans, supervises, and implements civil works while ensuring that public infrastructure is safe, functional, and sustainable.
Working closely with government agencies, contractors, and local communities, the Unit contributes to the planning, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of facilities that support the social and economic development of the Line and Phoenix Islands.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise civil infrastructure projects.
- Manage the construction and rehabilitation of government buildings.
- Maintain roads, public facilities, and ministry assets.
- Provide engineering and technical advice.
- Conduct inspections and site assessments.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project estimates.
- Monitor contractor performance and project quality.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
